Once the machine has been inspected, it is completely
disassembled into over 100 pieces!
This ensures that all the old grease and oil can be removed from virtually
every location on the mechanism.
Many repair facilities do not take the machine apart down to this
level, we feel that it is necessary and required to get a thorough
cleaning of each part.

 The parts are then individually hand washed in the identical
cleaning solvent used by Stenograph. This solvent is
envrionmentally safe and collected on a regular basis by the
distributor to ensure ecological safety.
Sure, it costs hundreds of
dollars for us to use this solvent, but we feel that for the safety of all
living things, it is well worth the cost.
Unfortunately, not every
repair facility share our philosophy...
