| From The Steno Doctor: It is with deep sorrow and regret that we announce the untimely death of the founder of The Steno Doctor, Edward Sturdy McKie.
Ed built The Steno Doctor into one of the world's largest independent steno repair and service businesses. Ed passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on Sept. 27, 2008. Ed had a heart attack while he was sleeping. His two beloved cats, Chico and Cookie, were nearby. Ed's body was laid to rest at Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana, CA. A memorial celebration of Ed's life was held at the Memphis Café, which is located in the Downtown Artists Village in Santa Ana, on October 19, 2008.
The Steno Doctor business is thriving and is moving forward. We will continue to be dedicated to providing the best possible service, just as Ed would have wanted. Ed will be sorely missed by many, but his dreams will live on.... |
